Welcome to Attack Dog Studios

We imagine, design and build

About Us

We are Attack Dog Studios, a small company that was formed from the ashes of disappointment that is so commonplace in the gaming industry today. Our studio is driven to bring back, to rebuild, to redesign and to deliver the quality of games that was once a standard across this industry.
We, the founders of Attack Dog Studios, grew up during the videogame golden age. We remember when these games were masterful pieces of art that numerous individuals spent thousands of hours designing, engineering and supporting; a time when the price they asked was reasonable. Now we live in the era of ‘the bottom line’ and as a businessman myself, I understand the practice but that doesn’t make it acceptable.
There is a dying way of business that we plan to resuscitate, like an old Jedi holocron, we are going to embrace it and build our success, not off the leaching of our customers, but of their dedication and support. Written in our own companies bylaws and a part of the partners agreement that we all signed, there will never be a time where we will lapse on our core values.
We’re going to draw that line in the sand and enforce it.
---
Attack Dog Studios was officially founded in the latter half of 2022. Founded by a group of individuals who, just like you, are fed up with the atrocious state of the videogame industry and so we decided to be the necessary change. Just like so many others, we got tired of handing over hard earned money for games that barely stood above the bare minimum. We all know those games that were advertised as if it was the greatest thing since indoor plumbing, building immense hype only to be delivered to the community in a low-quality, broken state; we all felt lied to and used.
The problems within the industry were not just quality issues and greed. Lets not forget the wave of development teams and companies who just flat out ignored or insulted their communities. We got tired of various development teams blatantly ignoring their communities, insulting their player base and biting the hand that feeds. These ego-driven developers were running their games straight into the ground and would refuse to see reason.
It was truly astonishing to see just how detached some developers could be from their supporting customers, their community. Unlike so many other studios today, we are not business men entering the gaming world but rather gamers entering the business world and we’re using this consistent dissatisfaction and disrespect that plagues the gamers of today as our driving force; as our fuel.
---
Attack Dog Studios started out as a group of friends that initially came together to build a competitive eSports team. We were one of the first competitive teams to form around a very young and indie tactical shooter. We were a very dedicated team to that game, we saw it as our home. We made sure to be a part of every tournament that made its way to us, to enforce strict standards of competitive play and battle the ever growing cheating problem that began to infect the game we were so dedicated to. We worked with many other dedicated teams to build a competitive league, just for this game, a league that upheld and enforced strict policies, that provided a trustworthy competitive scene for other like-minded players. We were serious, we were driven, fueled by passion and our dedication to the competitive gaming world.
Eventually, it all came crashing down. The game we so desperately loved, that we had spent so many hours building a competitive scene for, fell victim to the disease that surrounded so many other great games. The biggest issue was not cheating or game quality but rather the massive disconnect between the developer and the dedicated community. The community cared and so the community spoke. It expressed its concerns about various issues that riddled the game. It expressed its wants and it spent a lot of effort to show just how important the competitive scene is. That game only found its short lived success and popularity due to its blossoming competitive scene.
The developer had a vendetta against the multiplayer competitive community. They would consistently ignore the majority player base and only listen to those who echoed the things they wanted to hear. Releasing one broken piece of content after another despite rampant cheating, hit registration and infrastructural issues that were slowly choking the game to death. When 90% of the community was pleading for game crushing bug fixes, they would release low quality maps and boost the co-operative scene which comprised 10% of the active community.
This individual shoved his head deep into the sand and when he came up for air, he only listened to those who echoed what he wanted to hear. After numerous failed release, failed bug fixes, consistent anit-comeptitive mechanics and a clear show of incompetence, the game died. The developer did not care, he shoved his head into the sand and only listened to those that told him what he wanted to hear, within his echo chamber.
---
With the death of this game, that we all spent so much time dedicated to, was also the disbanding of our competitive team. We fought hard and scoured the internet in a desperate attempt to find a new home. We all spent countless nights crawling releases and digging through Steam hoping to find something that we could put our energy back into; we always ended up empty handed.
Eventually, we found something buried in the depths of Steam, something that seemed like it may be what we were looking for. We reached out and as luck would have it, we found ourselves having one-on-one conversations with the developer in record breaking time. Even the company behind the project seemed eager for our knowledge and help. At first, it was believed that our requests were being answered and even though this game had a rocky foundation of what it was to grow into, the company behind it seemed like they also saw the industry's desire for a new competitive shooter. Though, this was no happy story and the way it all ended was the final straw.
It didn’t take long for us all to realize that this was not at all what we were being shown. Soon the delusions of grandeur, sketchy business practices and like the last one, there was a very clear detachment from the community that was only exacerbated by the owners ego. So we left, we had no desire to be a part of something that at points felt fraudulent, felt deceitful and wrong; we were back to square one, we were feeling defeated.
---
Now, the founders of Attack Dog Studios are not the type of people to just accept defeat, if anything, we’re motivated by it. This motivation led us down the path of “fuck it, if no one wants to do this right, we’ll do it ourselves” and thus Attack Dog Studios was born. Our mission is to provide the high quality games that the gaming community deserves. To listen to the gaming community, to those who are buying our products and are the hands feeding our studios growth. Finally, our mission is to take money from the hands of those greedy companies who continue to release low quality skeleton games while keeping their hands deep in the pockets of the many gamers desperate for something new.
In the capitalistic world, competition is the only power that can change the current state of ‘the’ market. So here at Attack Dog Studios, not only will we build and release high quality games that are priced according to content being provided but we will bring a new era of competition to the sedated gaming market. Our competitors will have two choices, either they raise the bar themselves by beginning to create quality games that are priced fairly or they will continue to lose money that we will gladly take; so that we can continue our crusade for a better ‘gaming’ tomorrow.

Games & Projects

Here at Attack Dog Studios, our main goal is to not only release quality games to the community but to provide solutions that allows other studios to achieve the same quality with minimal development time.
